his is a unique tour that takes you around some of the well-known delicious food shops in Kyoto City. Each shop offers you its original popular products for tasting. C : Visiting a Remote Region "Kumo-ga-hata"

An enjoyable visit to the source of Kyoto's main river "Kamogawa" called " Kumo-ga-hata". First stop will be at "Iwayasan Shimyo-in Temple". This temple is a model of famous animation movie "Princess Mononoke" by studio Ghibli. After this, we will enjoy Kyoto Cuisine on Kawadoko floor which is the summer time favorite od dining out doors on temporary plat forms built over flowing water surrounded by cool, crystal clear mountain air.

D : Visiting Jyoshoko-ji Temple and Miyama Kayabuki village

We visit the temple enshrined to the Emperor and then take a casual walk to enjoy Kyoto's rural views in "Miyama Kayabuki-no-sato". This village is a collection of traditional Japanese thatch-roofed houses called Kayabuki-yane. At this village we will enjoy a delicious local cuisine "Bento"(Lunch box.)

Enjoy tasting Kyoto's delicious and sumptuous dished at Kawayuka, which is the summer time tradition of dining outdoors on temporary platfirms built over the flowing Kamogawa River in Kyoto City.

Visiting Korean Neighborhood in Kyoto

It is a guided tour organized by Professor Osamu Ota (Doshisha University).
We will meet at Doshisha and visit the Kyoto Center for Koreans Living in Japan (NPO) which works to provide support for the elderly and handy-capped people as well as child care.
We will meet and converse with the local residents there and explore the community.

Participation fee: 5000 yen (including transportation and lunch in the neighborhood.)
